  * Nancy's performance of Jewish folktales reveals the rich oral tradition that existed for   generations in the lives of European Jewry.  These were tales told by rabbis, by women as they baked challah and stirred pots of soup, by Jewish men and women who needed humor to survive persecution and poverty.  This is a story-portrait of a vanished world that has endured through the power of storytelling.  Come listen and celebrate this golden, treasured legacy.
